Energetic System – Koshas, Chakras and Nadis
One who sees all beings in the Self, and he Self in all beings never loses sight of it [the Self}. Isha Upanishad
Human subtle anatomy describes 7 sheaths or koshas:
Annamaya kosha - physical “food sheath,” made up of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space: health is maintained by constantly adjusting the body to bring it in harmony with the five elements.
Pranamaya kosha - energy, emotional
Manonmaya kosha - mental, sensory
Vijnanamaya kosha - intellect, Buddhi
Anandamaya kosha - bliss, celestial, causal
Chittamaya kosha - qualified consciousness, flow
Atmamaya kosha - Atman or cosmic Self, Sat
There are seven chakras or spiritual energy centers in the body, and all the world spiritual traditions make reference to them. For example, the Book of Revelations in the bible talks about the seven churches, the seven candles, and the seven seals.
Chakra: a wheel of energy in the Subtle body; there are six major chakras along the central axis + one on top of the head, corresponding to the spine and the nervous plexuses.

Main nadis (subtle energy channels):
Sushumna: the main energetic channel, situated in the middle of the spine.
Ida: energetic channel to the left of the Sushumna; connected to the left nostril.
Pingala: energetic channel to the right of the Sushumna; connected to the right nostril.
Wake up, my dear.
Be kind to your sleeping hear.
Take it out
In the vast fields of light
And let it breathe.
