All level class offers an introduction to the Advanced Yoga Practices to support those interested to establish and/or deepen their meditation and yoga practice and knowledge. The students will be introduced to all the main yoga practices, including asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, self-inquiry, yogic diet, yogic lifestyle, bhakti yoga, and more. Modifications of the postures accommodate every level of practice, from beginners to advanced students, so everyone can enjoy a satisfying and accessible class.
Intermediate yoga class takes the classical asanas and vinyasa to the next level, supported by breathing techniques such as ujjayi, kapalbhati, and bhastrika, as well by mudras and bandhas. The class will also cover concentration techniques, mantra enhancements, and samyama. Each practice includes sun-salutations, forward-folds, inversions, twists, backbends, relaxation, and meditation. Classes will build flexibility, strength, and endurance. Good knowledge of yoga fundamentals (see our Saturday morning class) and awareness of your own limitations are recommended. The instructor can provide you with any necessary modifications. Each class includes spinal breathing pranayama and meditation.
Gentle yoga class offers a slower pace for a meditative approach of the classical yoga postures, combining body work with breathing, concentration, and visualization. Classes will improve flexibility and strength. Suitable to all levels.
